Emotional awareness & our ability to consciously feel & integrate the full spectrum of human emotion into our everyday experience as the most valuable currency & power we have at this time. If we can honestly acknowledge our daily emotional experiences in the world with ourselves & others, we’d cease to unconsciously project various forms of violence stemming from undigested feelings towards ourselves & each other. It’s from this root that inner & outer peace can fruitfully grow.

What It Truly Means to Live An Inspired Life

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

I’ve been an inspiration seeker my entire life.

This incessant burning need to understand and interpret the world around me became an obsession. As a writer, it seemed impossible to separate my ability to capture any of these understandings without the inspiration to fuel it.

The media artist, philosopher and television personality, Jason Silva demonstrates the very same relentless passion I feel when he describes the artist’s compulsion as an attempt to “clothe inspiration” in his series “Shots of Awe.”

But, ...

Why Am I Not Healing Faster?

Suffering is an activator for change. Use it to transform yourself from the inside out.

It’s only hard to change if we don’t really want it. Most people avoid it because of the discomfort it brings to shift out of the familiar-even if that familiarity is a painful experience-we get used to it because it’s all we know. And us humans tend to fear & judge the unknown because we want to be able to control what happens when ...

When a Loved One Receives a Serious Health Diagnosis

by: Jamie Rautenberg

A couple weeks ago, I received news from someone very close to me about a serious health diagnosis a doctor gave them. Given my intimate knowledge with this kind of situation, I knew better than to immediately accept & feed into the worst possible outcome. But, it didn’t change the fact that I’m still a human being that has emotions. I got on camera that day to talk about things while I was feeling them. I wasn’t sure ...

For my perspective, desire is not necessarily about the person or the object, but the state of being it represents. So attaching to the external representation is kinda ...

Flowing with Emotions

by: Jamie Rautenberg

All things in life must move in order to grow-emotions are no different.

The only thing keeping us stuck in an undesirable feeling state is what we tell ourselves about it in our minds. An endless loop forms and the emotional energy cannot move out.

When we allow ourselves the space to feel & be without the stories we attach to the feelings in our minds, or even needing to know why we are expressing that emotion, we can move ...

Just a few short years ago, I lay in bed frustrated with feelings of failure as western medical treatments for late-stage Lyme Disease pushed me and my organs into shutdown mode. In the midst of the most challenging parts of my journey back to wholeness, Amy B. Scher appeared across my path and reflected the possibility of complete healing, ...
