I had the pleasure of recently being interviewed by the awesome Leanne Vogel from Healthful Pursuit on shifting my eating lifestyle, food addiction, and body love&acceptance. It’s so important that we listen to what our speaks to us and move in the direction it requires to heal as we grow.

Dealing with Anger/Rage, Self-Punishment & Blame

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

Refusal to admit or honestly express that we’re angry does not mean we’re a gentle person, it means we’re in denial. If we don’t acknowledge this internal sensation, eventually that anger will be expressed in an imbalanced way towards ourself or another, so how gentle is that really?

The gentlest & most compassionate way we could address anger is simply admitting it’s there, without participating in rage-filled acts(large or small) with others & ourselves. This will inevitably expose the ...

Self-Worth, Mental Health & Emotions

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

I continue to live in a daily process of strengthening my will in order to examine all the ways I’ve disconnected from truths about myself that may keep me engaged in unloving choices that harm myself & the world around me.
Throughout this process, it’s become clearer to me how there’s an immense link between the state of my emotional/mental health & how I viewed my value as a human being.
I believed because of the ...

Feeling Terror & Collective/Personal Trauma

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

This is a time where the majority of the world is experiencing heightened sensations of terror to a tremendous extent.

If you’re an ultra-sensitive empathic soul like me, you’ll be moving through various forms of sensations & feelings that seem to arise randomly, to varying degrees of discomfort & for varying lengths of time.

Depending on how willing you are to engaging these emotional waves of life, a traumatic response(fighting, avoiding, or numbing out) may or may not be your ...

I don’t know many people who don’t have some form of their teenage self affecting them at this very moment, whether conscious of it or not. I know this to be true of my own life experience, so I feel it’s relevant to address this part in us all to gain better clarity over how & why it’s governing much of our behavior. So grateful to my high school classmate, social worker, life coach for teens & youth ...

Emotional/Disordered Eating, Food Addiction & Trauma

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

One important topic that arises along the healing path for many individuals with chronic pain, illness or trauma histories (myself included) is food.

Once I became bed bound, it was pretty hard to ignore any aspect of body(inside & out), so I started addressing what I was feeding it on every level. But, food was one place I didn’t expect to feel so much intense emotion. Having to drastically restrict my diet only highlighted the ways in which I ...

A Personal Message on Boundaries & Trauma Recovery

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

If our personal boundaries got violated at some point or repeatedly & intensely enough in our life, we may not learn or understand how to set them when relating with others. This makes us far more likely to engage in unbalanced, and even abusive relationships. We also run the risk of violating the boundaries of others, especially if we’ve been repressing emotions regarding the traumas we’ve experienced.

A good cue that we’ve got some healing to do is if ...

How Constantly Seeking Mental Understanding Can Disconnect Us from Healing

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

When we’re completely alone, during that moment before a choice to act, there’s no escaping the truth of our feelings. Even if that moment quickly fades into a decision to disconnect from ourselves(with thoughts or behaviors), it doesn’t change the fact that they remain, and our body will keep holding on to remind us through its many symptoms when triggered.

It took me a while to see just how much I escaped into an endless quest for mental understanding.

Why ...

Are We Feeling Our Emotions or Mentally Indulging in Triggers(Trauma Recovery)

Posted by:

by: Jamie Rautenberg

Many of us try to mentally understand our feelings instead of actually experiencing them, especially when we’ve gone through trauma(s).

But, when we do this, we can become hyper-vigilant with our attempts to manage life as a means to avoid connecting to those uncomfortable sensations under our skin.

This was me the majority of my life! I never quite felt safe enough to really truly be with me and feel all that went with it.

But, I eventually learned that when ...

Sharing Perspectives vs. Being an Authority

by: Jamie Rautenberg

It’s been a little while since I’ve connected with you for several reasons. Mostly, I’ve been reviewing the last two years since creating The Daily Infusion & what my intentions were always deeply rooted in. I aim to share my experiences as means of reflecting a perspective on unifying the body, mind & spirit- knowing that I continue to be in my own constantly evolving process along the way.

There are many things that occur when we voice the ...
