Just a few short years ago, I lay in bed frustrated with feelings of failure as western medical treatments for late-stage Lyme Disease pushed me and my organs into shutdown mode. In the midst of the most challenging parts of my journey back to wholeness, Amy B. Scher appeared across my path and reflected the possibility of complete healing, despite how circumstances appeared.
As a psychotherapist, I was aware how emotional traumas could affect our lives, but I had loads more to learn when it came to understanding the energetic nature of them, and all aspects of our human experiences. This truth is often overshadowed whenever our physical health becomes imbalanced because “fixing” the body becomes our main focus.
But, as Amy says in her latest book How to Heal Yourself When No One Else Can, “If treating the body alone doesn’t resolve the problem, then maybe the body alone isn’t what caused it.”
My own experiences would continue to prove this fact time and time again through reclaiming my health, and as I went on to assist others in doing the same.
“Everything about wellbeing sits firmly on this very simple rule I’ve learned: You must become who you really are. You must be the real you. That means to love, accept and be yourself no matter what. You can’t contract your energy for others or for fear or for anything else. No light dimming allowed or living small. This journey of healing is to be yourself, and for that only. I truly believe that straying from and separating from your inner being, or who you really are, is the root of discontent in the mind and body. You are not broken and do not need fixing. You are not wrong and do not need righting. You are not in need of self-help; you are in need of self-love. The only thing you need to do is find yourself, and stay there.”
How to Heal Yourself When No One Else Can is a roadmap back to ourselves filled with energy therapy techniques including EFT, muscle testing and simple exercises to empower us to explore the core beliefs that create blockages that hold us back from complete healing.
Amy’s personal experiences combined with her years of working as an energy therapist makes her the perfect guide to expand our view of what it truly means to rebalance the body, mind & spirit. She’s been there, she gets it, and the refreshing authenticity in which she shares her own journey will activate your soul’s deepest knowing that we have the most powerful healing tool there is already within us: love.
